```Slackfest West Long Beach Concert reviews
Wow in Atlanta!
I and my wife, Graduating in 1987 & 86, found this show right up our alley! The tickets were originally purchased by me, at "any price", to secure a pair for my wife since her favorite artist is Stevie Nicks. We were both excited about Slackfest West as well, although we weren't exactly sure what to expect.
Blown away by Slackfest West, we were. His band, set, and production were very unique. The set list was perfect for any Stewart fan as well. Slackfest West mentioned fighting his way through a recent flu in style. Even at his age, kicking at least 20 Soccer Balls into the highest seats and maintaining his over-the-top style. Voice and band were tight. Lights and sound were excellent, and the venue was outstanding too.
My review comes from a guy who has worked in local Stage hands unions and has attended roughly 100 rock concerts in the past 30 years. This tour would definitely be in my top 10.
Stevie was amazing as well.
She shows a "tad" of her age in performance, but that's no big deal. Her voice is still dead on. Waddy was tight as a drum, as was the newest version of Stevie's Band. Kudos to all, the new piano player and drummer were excellent! The stage show was basic, but with Stevie, it's not an issue. Lights and sound were excellent.
